History

2001 — the establishment of the Belarusian republican unitary enterprise Eximgarant of Belarus specializing in export and import insurance. The Founder is the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus.

Viacheslav Bobilok is appointed Chief Executive Officer.

The joint Resolution of the Ministry of Finance, The Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Industry dated 31.01.2001 № 10/29/1/2 “On the approval of the Conditions of insurance of export contracts (credits) within the mechanism of the export promotion fund” is adopted.

2001

2002

Eximgarant of Belarus acquires full membership rights in the Prague Club of the Berne Union.

2003

Eximgarant of Belarus is among the founders of OJSC “The Belarusian universal commodity exchange”.

2004

Eximgarant of Belarus introduces civil liability insurance services for owners of vehicles in the territory of the Republic of Belarus.

2005

Eximgarant of Belarus acquires full membership rights in the Belarusian Transport Insurance Bureau.

2006

The Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated August 25, 2006 № 534 “On promoting the development o export of goods (works, services)” is signed, vesting Eximgarant of Belarus with the exclusive right to provide export insurance services on behalf of the Republic of Belarus.

2007

Eximgarant of Belarus is the sole insurance company in the Republic of Belarus ranked by the international rating agency Fitch Ratings as a B-level company with regard to financial stability, the outlook is “Stable”.

2008

Eximgarant of Belarus is ranked as “The Insurer of the Year”, according to “Insurance in Belarus”.

Eximgarant of Belarus is the largest of the 23 insurance companies registered in the Republic of Belarus in terms of statutory fund (80,0 bln. BYR), with shareholder ownership capital amounting to 82,0 bln. BYR.

Eximgarant of Belarus has its international B-level rating of financial stability reaffirmed by the international rating agency Fitch Ratings, the rating expectations being assessed as “Stable”.

2009

Eximgarant of Belarus contributes to the formation of the statutory fund of the national leasing operator OJSC “Promagroleasing”.

2010

Eximgarant of Belarus is ranked by the international rating agency Fitch Ratings as a B-level company with regard to financial stability, the rating expectations being assessed as “Stable”.

The insurance company’s statutory fund amounts to 437,5 bln. roubles.

2011

Eximgarant of Belarus celebrates its 10-year anniversary.

Eximgarant of Belarus takes part in the organization of the visit of the official delegation of the Berne Union member companies interested in providing insurance cover for foreign trade deals with residents of the Republic of Belarus and for investment.

According to the Resolution of the Council of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Eximgarant of Belarus’ Chief Executive Officer is included in the Presidium of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

2012

The Russian agency for the insurance of export credit and investments Exiar and Eximgarant of Belarus sign a General Agreement for cooperation and joint activity.
